GENERAL INSTRUCTION FOR “PG ENTRANCE EXAM 2016”

For the admission of academic session 2016-17 of Ayurveda Vachaspati/ Ayurveda

Dhanvantari (M.D./M.S.(Ayu) - I.P.G.T. & R.A., Jamnagar,

Government Akhandanand Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Ahmedabad, J.S. Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Nadiad and Other upgraded Centers affiliated to Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar

1. Examination center will be only in the SHREE SATYA SAI VIDYALAYA, Jamnagar city.

2. The written Test of 100 marks will consist of one common written test of MCQ of one mark each as prescribed by C.C.I.M. and every wrong answer will be awarded 1/4th negative mark. All ambiguous questions will be awarded marks in proportion to the marks obtained by the candidate.

3. The duration of the Entrance Examination will be 1 hour: Timing: 09.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. Reporting Time: 20/11/2016 09.00 a.m.

4. Candidates will not to be allowed with Books, notes, bags, Mobiles, Pagers, Calculators or any type of electronic devices inside the center. There is no place for safe upkeep of these belonging hence students are instructed not to bring any such thing with them at the examination centre.

5. Candidates have to produce authentic Photo ID proof as mentioned in the hall ticket at examination centre along with self-attested photocopy of the same.

6. The complaint against the questions if any, should be submitted to the Examination Centre Superintendent concerned before 12.00 noon, on the day of examination, after which no complaint will be entertained.

7. Results, Answer Key and Merit will be published on university website and Institute notice board. No separate mark sheets or call letters for counseling will be posted. It will be available online only.

8. Counseling will be done at the I.P.G.T. & R.A., Jamnagar.

9. Selection of candidates shall be made strictly on the basis of final merit index calculated out of total of 100 marks based on written test.

10. The minimum eligibility marks of the entrance test for admission in the cases of general & OBC candidates shall be 50% of the total marks and 40% in the case of candidates belonging to the Schedule Castes & Schedule Tribes.

11. The sponsored candidates shall also be required to possess the percentage of marks specified in Sr. No. 9

12. The merit of degree holder of GAU and other than GAU will be maintained separately.

13. In case of candidate securing equal marks in the written test, the merit will be decided as follow:

	a. On the basis of highest total marks obtained in BAMS final year.
	b. In case of candidates having equal marks in BAMS final year too, then higher marking in the speciality seat available will be considered.

14. Students who qualify in the merit have to appear in the counseling as schedule given above. At the time of counseling, original certificates like; all the B.A.M.S. marksheets, degree certificate, internship completion certificate, SSC & HSC passing certificates, caste certificate, recent creamy layer certificate for O.B.C. / S.E.B.C., along with one set of self attested photocopy of the said certificates. Selected candidates will also be required to deposit the admission fees as given in the brochure.

15. In all future correspondence applicant must mention his/her roll number.
