Hostels & Guest House

Institute manages three hostels viz. Boys, Girls and International Scholars Hostel. Boy's hostel has 110 single bedded rooms and girl's hostel has 58 rooms. International Scholar's Hostel has 22 rooms for foreigners with facilities of air-conditioning and attached with a small pantry and other relevant basic requirements. Married PG I Ph.D. scholars are also provided accommodation in vacant residential quarters.

Following facilities are available in all the hostels:

  • Hygienic food facility (Mess facility) provided at all hostels through well equipped Kitchen and Dining hall.
  • 24 hours drinking water facility through Aqua guards on each floor to all hostels.
  • Anti-ragging Committee and Anti-ragging Squad to maintain "Zero Ragging Zone".

  • Gymnasium and walking track (available near to Dhanvantari ground)
  • Television room

  • Security guards (round the clock security at all hostels)

  • International hostel having AC and attached with Kitchen and all basic facilities including Geyser, racks, cots, mattress, ceiling fan, etc.
A Guest House, University has a well-furnished Guest House with 32 rooms [air-conditioned, non A/C, VIP, 6 VVIP rooms, 1 A/C dormitory, 1 non-A/C dormitory] for the stay of visitors, scientists from both National and International level with in campus.

University Facilities for the Institute

Medicinal Plants Garden

University Campus has five flourished botanical gardens occupying an area of nearly 10 acres of land. Another big garden of nearly 35 acres has been located about 25 km away from the main campus at Sasoi village.

Ayurvedic Pharmacy

Gujarat Ayurved University has an Ayurvedic pharmacy, which manufactures drugs as per classical formulations for the use of University Hospitals. The special research drugs for clinical research and requirements of the hospital are supplied by this pharmacy.

Central Library

The central library of the University has a collection of more than 30,000 books on various subjects. In addition to this, the library has a huge collection (about 7644) of rare hand written manuscripts, out of which around 500 belongs to Ayurvedic Science.

IT Centre

Institute has a fifteen portal IT room with broadband facility for the use of the students and staff which with an intention to encourage to develop the skills of communication by using the computers, update the knowledge and collect information pertaining to their research projects etc.
